Picturing Cadillac Ranch

Not being people who pass up a quirky roadside attraction when we see one,  the Cadillac Ranch outside of Amarillo, TX, appealed to our sense of fun. This art installation includes 10 half-buried Cadillacs out in the middle of a field. It was created in the 1970s by a group of art/hippy/architects. Those are our kind of people!

It’s BYOSP: Bring Your Own Spray Paint, if you want to add to the art. We did!  Here are a few pictures of our time at Cadillac Ranch:

It was time to hit the road again.

We give Cadillac Ranch 2 thumbs up (or 8 thumbs, actually!). It’s free, and it’s a quick, easy stop if you’re heading along I-40 through Amarillo. This is the kind of place that just makes you smile!

What a wonderful memory your kids will have of this! My husband and I had fun wandering around at Cadillac Ranch with our Labrador retriever several years ago.
